Refly Harun Asks PDIP Not to Imitate Coalition Political Parties AMIN: It’s Nothing Yet They’ve Joined

JAKARTA – Constitutional Law expert Refly Harun insinuated that the political party supporting the candidate pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) has joined forces with the winner of the 2024 presidential election, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Refly asked the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) not to imitate the political party that supports AMIN.

He hopes that the party bearing the symbol of a bull’s head with a white snout will become an opposition to the Prabowo-Gibran government. “If PDIP is in opposition, he is free to speak, but if PDIP is not in opposition, he is a little more supportive,” said Refly in a Special Dialogue for People with a Voice broadcast by iNews TV on Tuesday (30/4/2024) evening.

“But we hope that PDIP will be in opposition. “Don’t be like a supporter of party 01, it’s nothing to cover and convey your congratulations,” continued Refly Harun.

Refly also talked about political fatsun that the loser should be in the opposition. However, he considered Prabowo’s camp tempting. Then, he continued, those who are tempted are easily tempted.

He believes that the parties supporting Anies, namely Nasdem, PKB and PKS, should remain in opposition. “However, it seems we can only hope from one party, namely PKS. Even then, PKS has offered itself. “I wanted to roll out the red carpet but Prabowo-Gibran didn’t come, preferring to go to NU, that’s the name of it, they no longer need to push themselves,” he said.

He considered that Nasdem, PKS and PKB were converts to Islam in opposition. PKB has only converted to Islam since September 2023, but it is not total because there are still ministers in the Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin cabinet.

“Then Nasdem also doesn’t have a history of opposition, it only came into opposition on October 3 2022, only PKS has experience in opposition. I’m actually not surprised,” he added.

He hopes that PKB General Chairperson Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin0) can learn to be an independent opposition person. “It’s also nice to be able to say anything and so on. The only problem is that I realize he’s carrying a carriage, if he continues to fight, I think that leadership will also be lost. from PKB,” he added.

Refly also highlighted the regeneration of the PKB leadership that Cak Imin had been the general chairman of the political party for around 19 years. So, he considered it an unhealthy reflection.

“Surya Paloh also seems to be in opposition, cut here, cut here, maybe also about business and so on,” he explained.

He admits that being in opposition is uncomfortable for people who have life problems, problems wanting to be in power, business problems, family problems and problems of being afraid of people. “But for people who are independent, who don’t have business interests, who don’t have carriages and so on, being in opposition is very comfortable,” he concluded.
