Red Bull Balineras Race returns to Bogotá: How to register?

After a wait of more than a decade, the emblematic Red Bull Balineras Race is back to once again transform the streets of Bogotá into a scene of pure adrenaline. Since its inception more than 12 years ago, this unconventional race has been much more than just a competition; It has been a symbol of creativity, bravery and teamwork that has left an indelible mark on the city’s history.

The bold idea of ​​creating a race of cars without engines, propelled only by the force of gravity and built with recyclable products, gave rise to what we know as Red Bull Soapbox (Balineras in Colombia) Race.

This one-of-a-kind competition challenges participants to build vehicles, known as “balineras,” and launch them downhill on a track packed with excitement and obstacles, defying gravity with every twist and turn.

In the last edition, more than a decade ago, more than 35,000 spectators witnessed an exciting day full of ingenuity and audacitywhere creative teams raced their clever homemade vehicles on a challenging track.

“Los Bocachicos Racing Team” were crowned the champions of that occasion, but who will be the next intrepid Colombian team to take victory in this new race? The mystery remains until the day of the competition.
