Real-politic and our “black-white” constant – 2024-03-21 01:31:15

The Italian newspaper La Rebublica, referring to diplomatic sources, reports that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken “blocked the statement condemning the Russian presidential elections” as a result of the G7 ministerial negotiations, reports inosmi.ru. At the same time, according to the Italian media, “the text of the statement was previously approved by Sullivan, the US President’s national security adviser.”

A diplomatic source at La Republica said Blinken “was concerned that Russia would interfere in the US presidential election if Putin’s legitimacy was publicly questioned”. Earlier, the US State Department officially announced that “Putin is the leader of Russia.” It is true that the Kremlin’s spokesperson called that wording a “play on words”, but fundamentally little or nothing changes from it.

Real politics is a complex “puzzle” where the most recent “decor” is highlighted. Few in Russia could have expected that after the re-election, Putin would talk about the possible role of France in the Ukrainian settlement, but it is already a fact, as well as the fact that, despite repeated assurances, the agreement on Iran-Russia comprehensive relations, as became clear in the Putin-Rais from the phone conversation, still in the “processing stage”.

Is there any connection between the US not recognizing Putin as “illegitimate” and the Russian-Iranian comprehensive cooperation agreement continuing to be “in the finalization stage”? Moscow’s and Tehran’s approaches to Gaza are almost identical. In terms of the Israeli-Palestinian principle settlement, the approach of the United States is not far from what Moscow and Tehran “identify”.

It is only in our “black and white” ideas that Iran is an ally of Moscow and a radical enemy of Washington. It is only when “looking through these glasses” that the average Armenian gets the impression that Iran will ever “declare war” on Azerbaijan for the sake of Armenia. It turns out that the saying “Artsakh will never be part of Azerbaijan” meant one thing. “There will be no Artsakh, the project is being closed.” And we continue to remain, as the Karabakh say, “caught” between the “black” West and “white” Russia. Colors are changeable, they change, our ignorance of real-politics remains constant.
