Rashid Khan became the highest wicket -taker bowler in T20

Afghan sniper Rashid Khan became the highest wicket -taking bowler in the T20 Internationals when he played a vital role in winning Afghanistan by 38 runs against the United Arab Emirates in Sharjah on Monday night.

Rashid Khan, 26, took three wickets for 21 runs in the match, and he increased his wickets in the 98th T20 International to 165.

Afghanistan’s innings was 188, which was based on Ibrahim Zadran’s brilliant 40 balls and Siddiqueullah Atal’s 40 -ball 54 runs.

The victory was the first victory for Afghanistan in the three -nation series when they lost to Pakistan in their opening match.

In pursuit of the 189 target, UAE captain Mohammad Wasim’s 67 -run innings of 67 off 37 balls endangered Afghanistan’s victory, including six sixes and four fours.

In the Afghan innings, Ibrahim Zadran and Siddiqueullah Atal added 84 runs in the second wicket partnership.

Karim Paradise hit two sixes and two fours in a 23 -ball not out in 10 balls, while Azmatullah Umarzai hit two sixes in 12 balls.

Mohammad Rohid and Saghir Khan took two wickets each from the UAE.

Pakistan, which has won both of its matches, will face Afghanistan today (Tuesday).

In the three -nation series, all three teams will play two, two matches against each other, and the top two teams will compete in the final on September 7.
