The artist was eating with his partner at a location of the well-known fast food chain Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles, located in the south of the city, when an armed man approached him, demanded that he give him his jewelry and when he refused , fired “several bullets,” according to LAPD agent Kelly Muniz.
“We are checking the audio from the security camera recording to determine exactly what words were exchanged before the event and identify the shooter,” Muniz explained.
The shooter, who has not yet been arrested, left through the side door towards a parking lot near the fast food establishment and fled in a car.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the Police are also now reviewing the cameras of businesses near the Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles restaurant to try to obtain a more reliable image of the murderer and be able to find his whereabouts.
