Rap, murder and secret burial: revelations about an Indian temple

Temple town, mysterious vasal blur (the secret disclosure) and the horrific confession. During the two decades, hundreds of women and girls rap, murder and secret burial charges shook the peaceful holy town of Karnataka, the southern Indian state of Karnataka.

The face hidden in a black head, an informant appeared in a local court earlier this month, who also had human remains in the form of bones, which he said was removed from the mass grave of women affected by sexual assaults.

The man claimed that he was a former employee of the Department of Cleaning at the Dharma Astala Temple. He alleged that he was forced to secretly seize hundreds of bodies, many of which were signs of brutal torture and sexual assaults on many of the bodies.

In a written complaint given to the police chief of District District, Kashan Kunar, the man, whose identity was not disclosed for safety reasons, said he worked under pressure for almost 20 years and then fled with his family in 2014.

Due to the feeling of crime and regret and the nightmare, they returned after more than 10 years to expose the ‘horrific crimes’, which they allegedly witnessed while working at the temple.

According to their testimony and censor complaint, which was seen by The Independent, the alleged rap of girls and women, after torture and murder, took place between 1995 and 2014.

Vasal Blaler demanded that hundreds of bodies be removed from the tomb, which they said they were buried and investigated so that the affected women could get justice, who could not be honored even after death. ‘

His lawyer, KV Dhan Jay, told the Independent that it was a case that ‘no examples were found,’ the witness of the case not only testified but also presented evidence and demanded accountability.

Dhan Jay said, “These are the men who say that the one who brought them back is not fear of the law, but the fear of conscience and morality.”

There is no example of this in the last 100 years of judicial decisions. ‘

Dharma Astala, and its surroundings have been focused on the cases of hundreds of women and girls who have been found dead or missing over the past years. Many cases were ignored or the police did not conduct a regular investigation.

About two weeks after the person was subjected to the complaint, the Karnataka state government set up a special investigation team to investigate the allegations.

Dharma Tathala, the Dharma Tathala, on the banks of the Hurricane Western Ghat and on the banks of the Nitravati River, is the most sacred place of Hindus. There is a Middle Ages’ Shri Manjunath Temple, which is in the name of the god Shiva and a family oversees it. This temple draws millions of pilgrims every year into this small town.

Vasal Blaler says he belongs to the Dalit community. This community is at the lowest level in the Hindu caste system. He worked at the Shri Manjunath Temple from 1995 to 2014.

He alleged that ‘the work that began as a normal job later turned into a hiding evidence of extremely horrific crimes.’

He said that in 2014 he fled when the mental punishment I received was unbearable. ‘

He said that a decisive turning point came when an underage girl was subjected to sexual harassment. After which they ran away.

He claimed that he and his family hid in a neighboring state and kept hiding in fear of their lives.

In a horrific personal statement, the man said that he saw the bodies coming along the river and first thought that it was probably suicide or accidental drowning. But soon they saw that most of them were women, many of whom were naked or semi -naked and had signs of violence.

He alleged that he was first called ‘secretly disposal of the bodies’ in 1998. When they refused, they were beaten and threatened.

He said that they were told, ‘We will break your pieces. Your body will be buried like these bodies. We will sacrifice your whole family. ‘

He claimed that most of the bodies he secretly buried were young girls and women who were brutally sexually assaulted. Their clothes were torn. There were marks and other wounds to be burned with acid on the body.

In a very disturbing 2010 incident, the man said he was ordered to bury a girl who was estimated to be 12 to 15 years old.

He testified that ‘he was wearing his school uniform shirt but other clothes were missing. He had a school bed. There were clear signs of sexual assault on his body. There were signs to strangle on his neck. They dug me the pit and asked him to bury him with his school bag. That scene is still disturbing today. ‘

He also claimed that poor men were killed and buried in Dharma Astala. He said he was a witness to the killing of these people.

According to the lawyer, the bodies were not buried in regular cemeteries, but was buried on open land. “It was not a regular burial that was allowed by an authority, but it was irregular, invisible and illegal burial,” he said.

Vasal Blaler said he remained silent for years due to fear, but the ‘immense burden on conscience’ and the repeated nightmares became unbearable for them.

He said, “I can no longer bear the burden of memories of these murder cases, constant threats to bury the bodies and the pain of beating that if I do not bury those bodies, I will be buried with them.”

Dhan Jay said that Vasal Bloe’s claims present a picture of a location where the general laws do not apply at all.

“If this is true then you have to admit that if such a place goes missing, the police do not file a report.

“But just because we are unable to explain the past, we should not ignore the present.”

The lawyer said that Vasal Blaler took action himself in frustration with the police.

He said, ‘Before coming to us, they went to a grave, removed the remains and handed them over to the court.

‘Now the situation is that the court has half a picture. The remaining half depends on the police to take the person to the place where the remains were removed. But the police did not.

There is no case pending against this person. Nor was anyone looking for them. No one was looking for these bodies.

The police’s non -action is giving the world the message that this person is probably telling the truth. ‘

In a statement issued on Sunday, July 20, the temple administration said it supports the ‘fair and transparent’ investigation.

“Truth and belief are the basis of the morality and values of a society.” We sincerely expect and strongly appeal that the special investigative team conduct a thorough and impartial investigation and bring the real facts. ‘

Vasal Blaler has not yet given the names of the people they blame. He first requested the court to provide protection and said that when he and his family get proper protection, they will disclose more details.

If something happens to them before they are named, he said that Dhan Jay would open the writing on his complete testimony.

In his testimony, he said, “The reality of these tragedies should not die with me.”

Karnataka State Commission for Women Chairperson Nag Lakshmi Chaudhry told The Independent that the formation of a special investigative team is a ‘important step’.

He mentioned the curb of the families, who are still waiting for the answer.

He said, ‘An old woman still hopes to get her daughter’s remains so that she can perform her last rites.

“That’s why I wrote to the Karnataka government and within four to five days he set up a special investigative team.”
