“Rahma” has been waiting for its release date for a year

The new Moroccan series “Rahma” has raised many questions from drama fans who are waiting for its release date, especially after more than a year has passed since its scenes were filmed in Rabat and its surroundings, with the participation of a significant group of Moroccan actors.

Moroccan screenwriter Bushra Malak, who supervised the writing of the script for this new series, revealed that all of the episodes of the series had been filmed and packaged and had been ready for screening for a year.

Malak continued, in a statement to Hespress, that she, in turn, does not know the reasons behind postponing the screening of the work that MBC received from the production company, indicating that she does not know, to this moment, the date of programming this work.

The same speaker revealed that this new social series, which she chose to call “Mercy,” addresses an important issue at the heart of Moroccan society, as it narrates the suffering of mothers of children with special needs with this group in the absence of the father who evades responsibility and leaves the mother alone in this harsh battle and bitter experience.

The Moroccan screenwriter continued, in her interview with Hespress, that the series, which is expected to be shown over two seasons, conveys a purely human story and sheds light on the character of the sacrificial mother in order to raise her children and challenge society’s view, noting that she has never dealt with such a topic before in her dramatic works.

For her part, Moroccan actress Mona Fettou said in a previous interview with Hespress that the series “Rahma,” in which she will star, will be a surprise to her fans, especially since it is a new role for her and she has not presented anything like it before, hoping that it will be admired by the Moroccan audience during its showing.

This new work, directed by Mohamed Ali Al Majboud, includes the participation of Karima Ghaith, Abdullah Didan, Farah Al Fassi, and Haitham Miftah, in addition to other artistic names.
