“Hasport” learned from an informed source that Al Ain Football Club has set its position regarding relying on its striker Hussein Rahimi, during his expected participation in the 2025 Club World Cup, despite the controversy on the legality of the deal because of the objection of its former team Raja Sports.
The same source said that Al Ain Club officials demanded Rahimi to maintain his focus in the team’s collective training, and assured him that the technical staff wants to rely on it despite the existing controversy, by virtue of the fact that the Emirati club management is defending its position on the grounds that this contract is legally sound.
The same source indicated that the Al Ain team believes that not reaching the time of the hour with any decision from the International Federation (FIFA) means that the contract with the player is sound, before adding that the situation may change if any official decision is issued by the guardian of global football.
The Raja Sports Team objected to the departure of Al -Hussein Rahimi in a free transfer deal before the end of his contract on June 30, while Al Ain Club believes that Rahimi’s contract determines the end of his association with Al -Raja to the end of the last official match in the season, which sparked widespread controversy over the deal.
Yesterday, Thursday, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation directed an official correspondence to the UAE Football Association and the International Federation, calling for the cancellation of Rahimi’s transfer to Al Ain Emirates Club. Through this step, it seeks to correct the legal situation, after it was granted by the player’s exit card.
Al -Ain Al -Hussein Rahimi was included in the list of players, who will be relied upon during his participation in the 2025 Club World Cup.
It is noteworthy that Al -Ain announced his contract earlier with Al -Hussein Rahimi, the top scorer of the Moroccan League for four football seasons, who will participate with the team in the 2025 Club World Cup, accompanied by his brother Sufyan.
