The former president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, in dialogue with RPPspoke about the current citizen security crisis being experienced in his country, which led to the declaration of the state of emergency and the decree internal armed conflict in that country.
As is known, on January 9, after a group of armed criminals took over the facilities of TC Televisión and detained its workers, the government of Daniel Noboa promulgated the aforementioned declaration which, furthermore, ordered that the groups of transnational organized crime “such as terrorist organizations and belligerent non-state actors”, thus becoming considered “military targets”.
