Radiocamp Frequency 1: Thousands of visitors!

The concept of Radio Camps Frequency 1 is known to the existing listeners, who are coming more and more and every year their attendance is exceeded.

“We are very happy! Firstly, from the fact that Radiocamps Frequency 1 are already an established summer favorite and listeners keep coming back to us. It is an indispensable part personal contact with the listener is very important. Similar meetings and conversations are for us wonderful inspiration and at the same time we learn what we are doing right and what we are doing well,” explains Frequency 1 director David Šmídt and adds: “Listeners tell us what they like about our program, what they would change, who their favorite presenters are, which programs are popular, what they enjoy, when and where they listen to us. And we perceive all this.’

Every camp is unique

Frequency 1 likes to return to some camps at the request of listeners, new camps are a secret and a surprise every year. And thanks to the incredibly friendly and spontaneous atmosphere that prevails in the camp, the atmosphere from the visitors is transferred to the entire Frequency 1 team and thus also to the listeners during the live broadcast from each Radiocamp.

Live broadcast with popular Frequency 1 presenters, roasting of dumplings, competitions, contests, interactive program, photo booth, after-party or live concert. All this is an integral part of the program. This year, the performers were: Michal HrůzaO5 and Radeček, XINDL X, Tomáš MatonohaVojtěch Dyk and Marta Jandová.

“During the entire duration of the Frequency 1 Radio Camps, we visited more than 50 Czech and Moravian camps, from which we broadcast live on the radio for more than 300 hours, all the Frequency 1 presenters took turns, with whom visitors can always have a friendly chat and see them in action . We regularly bring the best Czech artists to each of our stops for an hour-long concert, which is free for everyone.” recalls David Šmídt and mentions specific and unforgettable moments:

Tomas Klus regularly signs and takes pictures for 3 hours or more.

Marta Jandová performed the concert this year even with a broken leg.

Vojta Dyk also brought his specific, jazziest set, and the whole audience was dancing and singing until the end.

During concerts, Tomáš Matonoha regularly performs many scenes from his standup and theater repertoire.

Michal Hrůza thoroughly enjoyed the Moravian campsite and the atmosphere in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm.

Xindl X this year at the campsite in Osek, he cheered up the crowds not only of visitors to the campsite, but also of listeners who arrived from the surrounding villages for his concert.

Mirai spent a long time with us and the audience in the tent and on stage in the past.

Chinaski, Mig 21 and No Name also played their full and absolutely unrepeatable concert at our frequency Radiocamps.

Rybičky 48 play by the campfire and then always enjoy their time among the listeners.

We had the honor that Meka Žbirka played one of his last concerts in one of our largest domestic camps.

Moderators are only human too…

We experienced that one crew from Prague completed the 3.5-hour journey to Rožnov pod Radhoštěm in almost 7 hours. Message: don’t turn on the navigation, we have a map, so it became one of the most popular in the team.

At an unguarded moment, one of the presenters went backstage, where dinner was being prepared for the performing band. The moderator cheered how we take good care of the team, and in no time the performers were without chicken mini-cutlets.

In the broadcast tent, it is always at least 5-8 degrees higher than the outside temperature of around 30 degrees Celsius. So we also experienced a presenter who finished the entrance and immediately passed out, and several of the team could tell about possible heatstroke.
