“The state is not a game of carts. After failing to block the activities of the presidential institution, they present us with “Danish gifts” to compromise it.” commented Rumen Radev regarding Borisov’s statement earlier today that he asked Finance Minister Temenuzka Petkova “all the cars, all the drivers, everything that the president used, by decree, to be transferred to the presidency”.
“These people are impatient to trample on their own laws, and this will not work. He indicated that he very rarely travels in an armored car.
“These people made an absolute circus. They are not guided by the law, not by the rules, but only by personal interest. This personal interest does not lead to people’s well-being, but to lockers, bundles, accounts and properties abroad, which we do not know, but I hope that one day we will find out.” added the president.
The head of state noted that the issue is not only in public procurement for cars.
One should be made for fuel, garage, service, appointment of drivers, he pointed out.
“Even if they give us cars, they will stand as monuments somewhere, I don’t know where. Next to the presidency,” said Rumen Radev.
Earlier this week, the DPS-New Beginning demanded that Finance Minister Temenuzka Petkov take “urgent action” to provide the presidency with funds to buy official cars.
This happened after the party of Delyan Peevski initiated legal amendments, with which the administration of the head of state was deprived of the transport services of the NSO. In response, Radev said that he will be in solidarity with the employees of the presidency and is already moving in the family “Skoda”.
