Ambition to export Vietnamese platforms to the world
After 6 years of starting a business in Vietnam, Kamereo now has more than 200 employees with Taku Tanaka being the only foreigner.
This startup has just completed a Pre Series B funding round worth 2.1 million USD from Reazon Holdings, Quest Ventures and Mr. Thoru Yamamoto (CEO FOODISON). The total amount of money that Kamereo has raised from investors has now reached 7.2 million USD.
Kamereo is currently present in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and is preparing to expand to Hanoi. This startup is also considering the intention of entering the Cambodian market in the future due to many similarities with Vietnam.

According to Taku Tanaka, from the early days of its establishment, Kamereo has focused on developing its technical team to master technology solutions.
“We invest in mobile applications and websites to support ordering, in addition to a warehouse management system, allowing traceability and inspection of every aspect of the product.”, he said.
Kamereo also aims to develop everything itself with internal resources when opening a vegetable collection center in Da Lat and developing its own transit logistics from the production area to the final coordination center in Ho Chi Minh City. . This e-commerce startup currently serves about 3,000 businesses with more than 1,500 products.
When asked the question “Is Kamereo a Japanese or Vietnamese company?” Taku Tanaka replied: “We are a Vietnamese company with a Japanese spirit. Kamereo focuses mainly on the Vietnamese market, so we consider ourselves a local company”.
However, businessman 8X also said: “I always bring Japanese working spirit elements into my team to nurture a mindset suitable for sustainable and long-term business. This is inspired by Japanese business cultural values such as integrity, teamwork, and kaizen (continuous improvement).”.
