Quantum Foundation has honored more than three hundred voluntary blood donors. On Tuesday (February 13) evening, the award was presented to them at the Blood Donor Award Ceremony organized by the voluntary organization Quantum Foundation at the Institute of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) auditorium in Kakrail in the capital.
The organization takes itself to a higher club in terms of the number of blood donors donated. For example, blood donors can become members of Life Long by donating blood at least three times, Silver by donating 10 times, Golden by donating 25 times and Platinum by donating blood 50 times.
Voluntary blood donors and regular blood recipients expressed their feelings on the occasion. In addition to expressing gratitude to the voluntary blood donors, the negotiators made a humanitarian appeal to the young generation of voluntary blood donors to fully meet the blood demand in the country.
Member of Parliament Professor Dr. was present as the chief guest. Pran Gopal Dutta. He handed over certificates, crests and medals to encourage voluntary blood donors.
Quantum Foundation Voluntary Blood Donation Program Chief Coordinator Nahar Al Bokhari presided over the event and Quantum Foundation Director (Motivation) M Rezaul Hasan delivered the welcome speech.
Quantum Lab has been able to provide 1.583 thousand units of blood and blood components since its inception till last year to save the life of Murushu patients. By raising awareness and generating new blood donors, Manabik A Sangh is currently providing more than one lakh units of blood and blood components annually. Since its inception in 2000, Quantum has a well-organized donor pool of around five lakh voluntary blood donors in its two-decade journey. Half a million of whom are regular blood donors have pledged to donate blood for life.
