If you authorize the use of long-range missiles to Ukraine
Russian President, Vladimir Putinwarned that if the I’LL TAKE authorizes Ukraine Using long-range missiles to hit targets on Russian territory will mean that it will be at war with Russia.
“If this decision is made, it will mean nothing other than the direct participation of NATO countries, the US and European countries in the war in Ukraine (…), this will mean that NATO countries, the US and European countries are fighting against Russia.”Putin told public television after speaking at a cultural forum in St. Petersburg.
Putin stressed that such a decision will change “the very nature of the conflict”alluding to the fact that it will no longer be reduced to a war between the Russian and Ukrainian armies.

“If that is the case (…), we will make the corresponding decisions based on the threats they create for us”said.
He insisted that NATO is not actually authorizing Kiev the use of such long-range missiles, whether ATCAMS or Storm Shadow, since the Ukrainian army does not have the technical capacity to do so.
Putin stressed that, according to the opinion of Russian and Western experts, such missiles can be launched against Russian territory only with the help of intelligence data from US satellites or countries of the European Unionsince Ukraine lacks them.
“And the most important thing is that, in fact, flight missions can only be determined by the military of NATO countries.”said.
Last May, the Kremlin chief already used the same argument against the use of Western weapons against targets on Russian territory.
So he warned European countries with “serious consequences”alluding to the fact that, normally, “These are states with small but densely populated territories.”
In this regard, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said today that the West has already given permission “a long time ago” to Ukraine to attack Russian territory with long-range missiles.
Lavrov described it as “scenification” the visit to kyiv on Wednesday by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, who are reported to have discussed the issues with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
