Abu Dhabi: PureHealth has launched the Emirati Women’s Chapter (EWC) in collaboration with the General Women’s Union. EWC is a mentorship and upskilling initiative dedicated to empowering and inspiring Emirati women towards personal and professional growth across various industries.
The initiative follows PureHealth’s ‘Remarkable Emirati Women’ Forum, which is under the patronage of Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (Mother of the Nation), President of the General Women’s Union (GWU), and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood. and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) celebrated the achievements of Emirati trailblazers and stressed the importance of nurturing the next generation of women leaders.
The Emirati Women Chapter has been created with a clear mission to promote the advancement of Emirati women in every sector of society, aligning with PureHealth’s commitment to promote the UAE’s Emiratisation agenda. The inaugural pilot of the EWC will provide 28 Emirati women the opportunity to work with mentors to achieve their goals, contributing to the social and economic advancement of the UAE. Each participant will receive invaluable guidance and support throughout the program. Once they complete the programme, participants will have the opportunity to become mentors themselves, actively contributing to the creation of future success stories and passing it on to other Emirati women.
Noura Al Suwaidi, Secretary General of the General Women’s Union, said, “Thanks to Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak’s support, care and encouragement, we have come a long way in women’s empowerment in the UAE. The launch of the Emirati Women’s Chapter marks the beginning of this journey. “A major milestone, and we applaud PureHealth’s efforts in empowering Emirati women and enhancing their role in society.”
Shaista Asif, Group Chief Executive Officer of PureHealth, stressed the importance of developing the potential of Emirati women as a strategic imperative for progress and inclusivity in the UAE.
She added that the Emirati Women’s Chapter demonstrates a strong belief in the transformative power of Emirati women in all sectors and society, expressing gratitude to the General Women’s Association for their support.
