The National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) reported this Thursday that, in July 2025, the salary index registered an increase of 2.5% compared to June and an interannual variation of 53.2%. With this result, the indicator accumulated an increase of 23.7% in the first seven months of the year compared to December 2024.
According to the organism, which leads Marco Lavagnathe monthly increase was explained by increases of 2.2% in the registered private sector, 2.3% in the public sector and 3.6% in the unregistered private sector.
Salaries 2025: companies moderate increases and opt for more strategic compensation policies
In year-on-year terms, the 53.2% improvement responded to increases of 39.8% in the registered private sector, 41.3% in the public sector and 139.7% in the unregistered private sector.
For its part, the accumulated variation since December 2024 was broken down into an increase of 16.2% in the registered private sector, 19.1% in the public sector and 57.9% in the unregistered private sector.
Regarding public employment, Indec specified that in July the wage index of the national subsector increased 0.6% compared to the previous month, while the provincial subsector showed an increase of 2.6%. In the year-on-year comparison, the increases were 24.5% and 47.3%, respectively.

Finally, the accumulated variations so far this year showed an increase of 11.3% for the national public subsector and 22.1% for the provincial public subsector.
