PTI and JUI reject ‘non-transparent’ elections

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam have said that the election was not transparent, so they reject it.

PTI delegation met Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad on Thursday night.

Pakistan Muslim League chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain met his brother-in-law and Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in Adiala Jail on Thursday.

He further said that ‘we will make a strong opposition till we get the full mandate, we are in a position to form the government in Punjab, Center and KP.’

He urged the Election Commission and the Judiciary to take notice of the ‘fake mandate’ and immediately hear PTI’s cases.

He said that we have given detailed consideration to form the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and fight our case in the federation and Punjab. We have discussed the election with Khan Sahib, we believe that according to the record we have won 180 seats.

Barrister Gauhar Khan announced that his party will hold peaceful protests across the country on Saturday (February 17).

He said that for this purpose we are inviting all the political parties whether it is GDA, Jamaat-e-Islami, JUI(F), TLP, ANP or any other party. It is believed that the mandate was changed and rigged.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser has said on Thursday that his party has nominated Umar Ayub Khan as its candidate for the post of Prime Minister.

Speaking to the media along with Barrister Saif and other PTI leaders in Rawalpindi on Thursday, Asad Qaiser said: ‘Imran Khan has nominated Umar Ayub Khan as the candidate for the Prime Minister, he will be our candidate for the post of Prime Minister, God willing. The US State Department has called for an investigation into allegations of rigging during Pakistan’s general elections more than once in recent days.

He termed the allegations of alleged rigging by some members of the US Congress as ‘personal opinion’ and said that it is not the opinion of the US government.

Anwar-ul-Haq further said that if someone had to do the rigging, the largest army was present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but nothing like that happened.
