PSIS Semarang Wins Narrowly 1-0 Over Persis Solo

SOLO – PSIS Semarang managed to win in the second week of the 2024/2025 League 1 match. Paulo Gali and colleagues won narrowly 1-0 over Persis Solo when visiting Manahan Stadium, Solo, Saturday (17/8/2024) evening WIB.

The first half was quite tough in the early minutes. Both teams played openly but struggled to create clear chances.

In the 20th minute, a dangerous opportunity was obtained by Persis through Moussa Sidibe’s action. However, his shot still hit the goal post.

Six minutes later, PSIS threatened again through Paulo Gali’s action. However, his curved shot went just wide of the left side of the goal.

The exchange of attacks continued in the final minutes of the first half. Poor finishing prevented both teams from breaking the deadlock.

In the 45+2 minute, Laskar Mahesa Jenar -PSIS’s nickname- successfully broke through the home team’s goal through a direct corner kick executed by Alfeandra Dewangga. The goal made the first half end with a score of 1-0 for the away team’s advantage.

At the start of the second half, Persis dominated the game and tried to create several opportunities, but were thwarted by the opponent.

In the 55th minute, Ramadhan Sananta, who had just entered the second half, almost equalized the score for Laskar Sambernyawa – Persis’ nickname. His kick was still weak so it was easily caught by Adi Satryo.
