Towards the end of the match, PSG increased the pressure, the ball almost only rolled in Dortmund’s court. Many shots were taken but the equalizer still ‘eluded’ the home team.
After Hakimi’s through ball in the 80th minute, Mbappe accelerated past a Dortmund player’s block before finishing at a tight angle. However, goalkeeper Kobel flew to save Dortmund.
At the end of the match, neither Mbappe nor Vitinha could beat Dortmund’s crossbar.

Helpless in finding an equalizer, PSG had to accept stopping in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals when they lost 0-2 on aggregate, after two matches.
As for Dortmund, after 11 years they reached the final of Europe’s most prestigious arena, the club level. The Ruhr team’s opponent in the championship match was the final winner in the match between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
