On the morning of this Saturday, March 2, the Prosecutor’s Office announced the transfer of the indictment against Jhonathan Sánchez Carrillo, for allegedly interfering in live broadcasts of Gustavo Petro’s presidential speeches two years ago.
“In November 2022, apparently, blocked the signal of the Presidency’s streaming channel of the Republic, a situation that made it difficult to disseminate the messages from the head of state,” the statement reads.

The interruptions during the speeches of the President of the Republic of Colombia transmitted over the Internet took place on November 7, 16 and 17, 2022.
“The judicial police activities deployed made it possible to establish that, apparently, remote access and signal obstruction were generated from an internet point or IP address, located in the place of residence of Sánchez Carrillo, in the town of Engativá, in western Bogotá,” the report detailed.
The Prosecutor’s Office accused the subject of the crimes of abusive access to a computer system and illegitimate obstruction of the computer system or telecommunications network.
For its part, Sánchez Carrillo, who did not accept the charges, He had been a contractor for a company in charge of streaming for the Presidency of the Republic until October 25, 2022.
