Prosecutor’s Office charges charges against a police officer for alleged ‘tricks’ by Marelbys Meza

On February 10, the Attorney General’s Office revealed a report in which a policeman and another man for allegedly inducing tax error and distorting information.

This action led to the order to intercept the Marelbys Meza telephone line, who previously worked as a nanny for Laura Sarabia. In addition, it was confirmed that there is physical evidence that supports these accusations.

“The Attorney General’s Office has physical evidence and probative material elements to demonstrate that the deputy mayor Fredy Alexander Gómez Bustamante and the private Rafael Ricardo Santos Fuentes, who served as a human source, did not meet in the first days of February 2023, at the SIJIN facilities in Bogotá, to talk about the whereabouts of some dollars,” reads the official report of the Prosecutor’s Office issued on the morning of Saturday.

This file was initiated with the purpose of investigating the disappearance of a sum of money that was lost at Laura Sarabia’s residence. According to certain versions, it is suggested that Marelbys Meza could have been responsible for the theft.
