Profile of Commissioner General of Police Reynhard Silitonga, Former Chief of Police of Soetta Airport Who Served as Inspector General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights

JAKARTA – Commissioner General Pol Reynhard Saut Poltak Silitonga is recorded as holding the position of Inspector General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. (Inspector General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights) Since April 5, 2024. Reynhard Silitonga replaces Razilu who will occupy a new position as Head of the Legal and Human Rights Human Resources Development Agency.

Before becoming Inspector General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Reynhard served as Director General of Corrections. He replaced Sri Puguh Budi Utami who was transferred to become Head of the Education and Training Agency of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly stated that mutations in an organization are normal in order to improve the performance of the institution. “Mutations and promotions are common in the career path of a civil servant, because through mutations, it is hoped that there will be a refreshment in the implementation of duties and functions, which ultimately leads to an increase in organizational capacity,” said Yasonna at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights’ Graha Pengayoman, Friday, April 5, 2024.

Coinciding with his inauguration as Inspector General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Reynhard Silitonga was then promoted one level higher from Inspector General of Police to Commissioner General of Police. The inauguration was led directly by the Chief of Police General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo at the Rupatama Building, National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Tuesday, May 28, 2024.

Profile of Commissioner General Reynhard Silitonga

Commissioner General Reynhard Silitonga is an active Pati Polri who was assigned outside the Polri institution. The man born in Medan, North Sumatra on September 8, 1967 is a graduate of the Police Academy (Akpol) in 1989 who is experienced in the field of investigation.

Graduated from Akpol, the husband of Anna br Siahaan began his career by occupying the position of Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Cianjur Police. From Cianjur, Reynhard Silitonga was then shifted to become Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Bogor Police.

He is also recorded as having held a number of positions as Chief of Police Sector (Kapolsek), starting from Kapolsek Metro Cilandak, Kapolsek Metro Gambir, and Kapolsek Metro Taman Sari.

Full of experience as a Police Chief, Reynhard Silitonga then received a new assignment as Head of Jarlat Sub-Division, Jarlat Bag, Lemdiklat Polri. His career shone even brighter when he was promoted to Chief of Police of Central Tapanuli and Chief of Police of North Hulu Sungai in 2009.
