Professionals reject the monument in the name of artistic production

Recently, the phenomenon of fraud in the name of art has spread across social media platforms, with professionals warning artists and emerging talents not to be led by paid advertisements promoted by some pages by some people impersonating “art supervisors.”

In this context, Hanaa Shabab, the Moroccan concert organizer, said in a statement to Hespress that, by virtue of her relationship with artists, the field must be urgently protected from some “intruders” and people who give imaginary descriptions to themselves and define themselves as artistic producers while they have no connection to this world at all. Stressing that not everyone who works with a production company becomes a producer and artistic director.

The same spokeswoman added that some coordinators in production companies have appeared on the scene who are in charge of coordinating between the distributor or composer and the artist, and the original employers are surprised that their productions are being stolen and attributed to others through the pages of social media platforms, calling for the necessity of confronting and standing up to “impersonators.” In order to legalize artistic work in Morocco and give value to everyone who has the right to do so while protecting the field from intruders, in partnership with the media and press.

For his part, Moroccan artistic producer Moufid Sibai said that the artistic field has become, in recent years, living in randomness after the appearance of people who engage in things that do not belong to them or who pay for pages in order to advertise themselves on the basis that they are artistic producers. But they are far from music, this field and have no experience in it.

Al-Sibai continued, in his conversation with Hespress, that he always reiterates that artists and young people must be aware in advance about the people they deal with and look for their qualities and whether they actually have a relationship with art or are just intermediaries.

The Moroccan artistic producer highlighted that some of these “intermediaries” are the cause of the farce that the artistic field is experiencing today, and that the person who does not know who he is dealing with will regret it in the end, calling on all people who have been exposed to fraud or a problem in this context to declare it to warn the rest of their colleagues against Making the same mistake.
