Produce launched an investment of 20 million soles to inaugurate the advanced infrastructure of the CITEpesquero in Ilo, that will positively impact more than 540 units productive in the region of Moquegua. While visiting the advanced facilities of CITEpesquero Ilo, the Minister of Production, Sergio Gonzalez Guerrerohighlighted the innovative laboratories for microbiological and physicochemical analyzesas well as the freezing plant and the curing plant, which includes three production lines: smoked, dry-salted and preformed.

The unveiling of this modern infrastructure and technological equipment coincides with the conclusion of the Public Investment Project titled “Establishment of technological innovation services for the production chain of hydrobiological products in the Moquegua region.
It is important to highlight that those present had the opportunity to see a sample and enjoy products made in collaboration between the CITEpesquero Ilo and the Las Brisas de Ilo Associationevidencing the fruits of collaboration between experts and local producers.
The opening of the renovated CITEpesquero in Ilo represents a significant step in our strategy to strengthen the fishing industry, with an investment close to 20 million soles. Equipped with two 13-ton conservation chambers each and a curing plant, this center reflects our commitment to progress and innovation.
From 2016 until January 2024CITEpesquero Ilo has provided services to 3,572 customers and provided 10,728 services of technological transfer and innovation. In the Moquegua region, the ITP has two centers: the CITEpesquero Ilo and the CITEagroindustrial Moquegua.
