Private sector emblems also lower diesel prices

ASUNCION- Some emblems of the private sector reduced the price of diesel, following Petropar’s decision to reduce the cost by 300 guaraníes per liter at its service stations throughout the country.

In contact with the radio station 730 AM, Vanessa Iribas, general manager of Petropar, confirmed the measure, highlighting its positive impact: “We learned last night that some emblems of the private sector are also lowering their prices. It is good news because, at the end of the day, when we act as market regulators and lower prices, they go down and after all the benefit goes to the citizens and also to the country.”

The reduction in Petropar includes a 300 guaraní drop in Porã Diesel, which now costs 7,440 guaraní per liter, and in Mbarete Diesel, which costs 9,240 guaraní per liter. Iribas explained that this decrease is the result of recent administrative efforts, including timely purchases in May and June, as well as efficient stock management. He also mentioned that the price of gasoline is being analyzed based on international purchases and quotes.
