The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the urban commune of Antananarivo presented the priority projects, within the said commune, yesterday at the Palais des Sports in Mahamasina.
According to the PDS, these projects amount to 9.6 billion ariary and are presented as follows for each district. For the Iis district, the project is of the order of 1.669 billion ariary, the IIe : 543 millions ariary, le IIIe : 4.2 billion Ariary, the IVe : 1,9 milliard ariary, le Ve : 738 million ariary and the VIe : 596 million ariary. In view of these figures, it is the IIIe who will obtain the largest budget while the IIe is the least endowed. These budgets will be used for the construction or rehabilitation of “ alley » (alleys), wash basins, stairs, fokontany offices and green spaces. To name just that. These projects aim in particular to improve the living conditions of the Tananarivian population.
Initial budget
The PDS is therefore launching an appeal to national and international economic operators established in the 6 districts to lend a hand to the CUA in bringing these projects to fruition. He wanted to emphasize that the sum which was announced previously greatly exceeds the original budget which falls under the jurisdiction of the municipality. And subsequently, it will be necessary to contact technical and financial partners, embassies and consulates. In addition, he noted that the work will start within a month.
Sanitation
In addition, he wanted to point out that he only holds his position until November this year. Note that he was officially installed in his post on March 5, during a ceremony on the square in front of the Town Hall in Analakely. It was an opportunity for him to talk about his short and medium term priorities. These include, among other things, the sanitation of the city of Thousands, the management of markets and the rehabilitation of roads. But given the size of the capital’s significant population, not to mention the rural exodus, the stakes are high.
