“Porn Passports” Introduced in Spain

The Spanish government has decided to tighten access to pornographic content for minors. Without waiting for the new EU regulation to come into force in 2027, the country is launching the Beta digital wallet, Liter.kz reports with reference to BILD.

It is noted that this tool will allow users to confirm their age to watch erotic films. To do this, you will need to install a special application that provides 30 “porn credits” per month, which will be automatically renewed upon expiration.

“The Spanish government claims that the new system will ensure data protection and prevent users’ online activity from being tracked. The Beta digital wallet is expected to be available throughout the country by the end of the summer,” the publication writes.

Adult platforms will be able to use this method at their own discretion, and may also choose other methods of verifying the age of users.
