The circus artist disappears in Amazonas
To the g1, the artist’s friend, Ana Melo, said that he had been in Brazil since 2015 and was part of a group of artists and cycle travelers “Pé Vermêi”. As they cycle across the country, group members often inform others of their whereabouts before they run out of phone and internet reception.
Between December 22 and 23, Julieta said she passed by Presidente Figueiredo, in the hinterland of the Amazon, on her way to her hometown, and disappeared.
This was the last time Ana Melo and the “Pé Vermêi” group had information about Julieta. Since then they have lived moments of apprehension without having news of her.
“Before she lost the signal, we already knew that it would be a challenging journey. Julieta is very experienced, she has cycled across Brazil for years and is now returning to Venezuela. What we found strange was the fact that she did not warn us that she would not there would have been no signal. The messages just weren’t coming anymore and we couldn’t locate her anymore,” Ana Melo said.
