A new research review evaluated 48 studies published between January 2000 and June 2023 and gathered evidence from several previous studies on the link between a plant-based diet, heart health and cancer risk. The results show that plant-based diets are associated with significant health benefits. However, the researchers caution that the strength of the associations identified in the study may be limited because there were many differences between the studies evaluated in terms of the nutritional regimens followed, patient demographics, and study duration.
