Petro’s curious relationship with the Mexican president

The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, assured this Monday that the elected president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, helped the M-19 guerrilla in that country years agoof which he was a part in his youth, after congratulating her on her victory on Sunday.

The M-19 was an urban guerrilla that operated in Colombia from the mid-1970s until the signing of peace and its demobilization in 1990, after which It became a political party with which its members entered politicsamong them the now president Gustavo Petro.
