Petro expresses solidarity with Sánchez in the face of possible resignation from the presidency of Spain

For his part, Petro assured that this same “mud machine” has also “triggered in Colombia, only here, in addition, murders”, alluding to the fact that it is a “well-oiled machine with lies, hatred and money, it stops with popular mobilization, with those who want Colombia to advance.”

And he compared the situation with what Colombia is experiencing after Sunday’s protests where tens of thousands of people came out to show their rejection of Petro’s government.

I consider that some made threats while carrying coffins and shout “death to the president.”

“Here in Colombia the right, once Franco’s, does the same task with the first progressive government for many decades,” Petro noted.

Sánchez’s uncertain situation

In his letter, the Chief Executive regrets the “unprecedented” attack against his wife and wonders if it is worth continuing to endure this situation.

A question to which he answers by assuring that he does not know and, therefore, he points out that he needs to “stop and reflect” with his wife, with whom he admits to being “deeply in love.”
