Persita Tangerang fires Divaldo Alves

Persita Tangerang officially fired Divaldo Alves from his position as head coach. This was done because the Cisadane Warriors were in danger of being relegated.

“We agreed to part ways with Coach Divaldo Alves,” wrote Persita Tangerang’s official Instagram statement, Saturday (30/3/2024).

Currently, Persita Tangerang is in 15th position, one level above the relegation zone. However, the Cisadane Warriors are in danger of being dropped because they have the same 31 points as Arema FC who are ranked 16th.

Persita Tangerang manager, I Nyoman Suryanthara, said that his party had reached an agreement with Divaldo Alves not to continue the collaboration. The Cisadane warrior also expressed his gratitude for Divaldo Alves’ hard work while serving as head coach.

“After carrying out evaluations and considering several results, we agreed to end our collaboration with Coach Divaldo Alves by mutual agreement,” he said.

“Everyone at Persita would like to express their deep gratitude to Coach Divaldo for the hard work, dedication and commitment he showed during his time as head coach,” he continued.

Divaldo Alves handles Persita Tangerang, after replacing Luis Edmundo Duran. Meanwhile in Liga 1 2023/2024, the Portuguese coach has recorded four wins, six draws and eight defeats.

Meanwhile, in the near future, Persita Tangerang will have a difficult match. Because, Persita Tangerang will host Persib Bandung in the 31st week which will take place at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium in Gianyar, next Tuesday (2/4/2024).
