Perfect skin exists: Try double cleansing | For women

Removing make-up and cleansing the skin is the very basis of a daily skincare routine. Improper or no make-up removal has been proven to cause pimples and inflammatory changes, as well as faster skin aging and the formation of wrinkles. Sebum, dust, dead skin cells and make-up residue accumulate on our skin throughout the day. “If we do not remove make-up and clean the skin, we will significantly slow down the regular and natural regeneration of the skin. Clean makeup also clogs pores, which can lead to inflammation. Removing make-up and cleansing is an absolute foundation in skin care.” says MUDr. Lucia Mansfeldová, dermatologist and founder of the Almiaderm Institute.

You may have already heard about double cleansing. This skincare method originates from South Korea and is the basis for really thorough cleansing of the skin. Its essence is care in two steps. In the first stage, an oil-based cleaning product is used to dissolve all impurities. In the second phase, a water-based cleanser is used, which, in cooperation with the oil, penetrates much deeper into the skin, cleans the pores and rids the skin of residual impurities. Remember that not all cleansing products can effectively remove make-up from the skin, which can then be the cause of many problems.

How about this:

Thanks to its composition, the oil product used in the first phase can remove even long-lasting and waterproof make-up, at the same time it gently cleanses the skin, removes dirt and pollutants, preserves the skin’s natural moisture, refreshes and revitalizes the skin, and can also handle the removal of SPF product residues. “For example, the make-up removing oil from Weleda contains 3 types of oils. Sunflower oil is similar to the lipids in our skin tissue, therefore it is very well absorbed into the skin and penetrates quickly into the deeper layers. It has soothing, softening, smoothing and anti-inflammatory effects. It works as an antioxidant and protects the skin from damage from external influences, loss of elasticity and firmness. Apricot oil is well absorbed and does not leave a greasy feeling. It doesn’t clog pores, so it’s also suitable for problematic, mixed, acne-prone and oily skin. It nourishes, softens and regenerates the skin. Castor oil is a rich source of unsaturated fatty acids. It has a strong lubricating effect, is suitable for the regeneration of scars, eczema and, among other things, perfectly binds moisture in the skin.” shows Jana Goldbricht, WELEDA beauty & product specialist.

In the second step, it is advisable to use a foam or a deep cleansing gel, which will clean the pores, and the skin will be fresh and perfectly clean. Apply the product and remove the remaining impurities from the skin with gentle circular movements and massage. Then rinse your face with lukewarm water. Finally, you can apply, for example, a deep cleansing tonic to clean and brighten the skin. Always choose products according to your skin type and don’t forget to use a moisturizing cream and possibly a serum. Do not touch your face with your hands after cleansing.
