People in Ho Chi Minh City continue to suffer from intense heat until the weekend

Today and in the coming days, the Southern region will continue to have hot weather. The highest temperature in the East is commonly 36-38 degrees Celsius, with some places above 39 degrees Celsius.

On April 19, Mr. Le Dinh Quyet, Head of the Southern Regional Hydrometeorological Station, said that from noon to this afternoon, the hot low pressure area in the west developed strongly and expanded to the east – southeast. Overhead, subtropical high pressure passes over the South Central – Southern regions.

The South continues to have widespread heat, and in the Southeast there are places where the heat is intense. In the evening, there is a possibility of localized thunderstorms (high possibility in Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Kien Giang, Ca Mau), watch out for tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds during thunderstorms.

The highest temperature in the East is commonly 36-38 degrees Celsius, in some places it is over 39 degrees Celsius; Ho Chi Minh City 35-36 degrees Celsius; The West is 34-36 degrees, some places are above 36 degrees Celsius.

In the next 48-72 hours, the hot western low pressure area will continue to develop strongly and expand to the east – southeast. At high altitude, the subtropical high pressure has an axis through the South Central region – the South encroaching slightly to the west.

The Southern region will have localized thunderstorms on the evening of April 20. Be wary of thunder, strong winds and tornadoes. Widespread heat continues to occur in the region, with some places experiencing intense heat in the East; little change in intensity.

A day ago, the Tri An Lake area (Dong Nai) had rain but very little (about 1mm).

Ms. Le Thi Xuan Lan, a hydrometeorological expert, said that from the beginning of April until now, Ho Chi Minh City has occasionally had a few cool mornings until nearly noon.

The reason is that there are several layers of stratus clouds in the sky. When the sun rises, this layer of clouds dissipates and there is intense sunlight at noon.

As noted by the reporter Dan tri, rain appeared in Ho Chi Minh City at around 3:00 a.m. on April 17. Light rainfall lasts about 5 minutes. In the morning, the hot sun reappeared from early morning.
