From 2,500 cases on August 31, the number of alcohol concentration violations nationwide increased to more than 4,000 cases on September 1.
The National Traffic Safety Committee has just reported on the traffic situation nationwide on September 1 (the second holiday of National Day, September 2).
According to statistics, there were 60 traffic accidents nationwide, killing 29 people and injuring 41. Localities did not record any particularly serious traffic accidents.

On September 1, local police handled 15,236 traffic violations; imposed fines of VND32.8 billion; detained 147 cars, 5,213 motorbikes, 100 other vehicles; and revoked 2,816 driving licenses.
Notably, alcohol violations increased to 4,049 cases, one and a half times higher than on August 31. Speeding violations were 3,741 cases and drug violations were 17 cases.
According to the assessment of the National Traffic Safety Committee, from noon on August 31 to noon on September 1, traffic order and safety were stable, with congestion occurring on some gateway routes to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
On the morning of September 1, traffic volume in Hanoi and neighboring localities decreased significantly, traffic was smooth, and there were no prolonged traffic jams.
