Santiago. 15/2/2024. The Social Security Institute, IPS, reported that as of this Thursday, the payment of the 2024 Permanent Family Contribution, also known as the “March Bonus”, began to be paid to the first group of beneficiaries.

These first families correspond to people who during the second half of each month receive the Single Family Subsidy or who belong to the Chile Solidario programs or the Security and Opportunities Subsystem (Family Ethical Income), as long as they have had those benefits in force as of December 2023. The other groups of beneficiaries will be able to consult from March 1 and March 15, respectively.

For this year 2024, the amount of the Permanent Family Contribution is 61,793 pesos per dependent or family, depending on the type of beneficiary.

Thus, for example, a family where the mother (cause of Family Subsidy) is taking care of her four children and receives the Family Subsidy for each of them, will be entitled to five family contributions (one for each beneficiary of the Family Subsidy). and will receive a total amount of 308,965 pesos.

More than 90% of the people on this first list of beneficiaries will receive their Permanent Family Contribution directly into their CuentaRUT or other registered bank account. The other beneficiaries will be able to collect their money in person at Caja Los Héroes or BancoEstado. The right to the bonus, as well as the place and date of payment, can be consulted at www.aportefamiliar.cl. No application process is required, since the State determines the beneficiaries based on the information available.

“The Permanent Family Contribution is an aid provided by the State and that will initially reach more than 1 million 400 thousand lower-income families, who require support in one of the most complex times of the year, due to the expenses it entails, such as the beginning of the school year,” explained the Minister(s) of Labor and Social Welfare, Giorgio Boccardo.

The Government will make a fiscal effort of more than 188 billion pesos in total to materialize the delivery of this economic contribution to families that meet the requirements to receive it.

“The IPS has begun the delivery of the 2024 Permanent Family Contribution to this first list of beneficiaries. Subsequently, on March 1 and 15, respectively, the payment to the other groups will continue, and people can consult at www.aportefamiliar.cl,” indicated the national director(s) of the IPS, Juan José Cárcamo.
