The rate of production of women-centric web series in Opar Bengal is gradually increasing. Another series is being added to this list. Tollywood and Bollywood popular actress Pauly Dam is playing the central role in this series. Directed by Sauvik Kundu, the shooting of the series has already started.
The new series starring Pauly is called ‘Gutipoka’. It is known that Pauli is playing the role of a woman victim of domestic violence in this series. She is a teacher by profession. Basically the story revolves around the relationship between a teacher and a student.
But the story of the series will progress on how the character played by Pauly, who is apparently timid, turns around under the pressure of the situation. A source from the unit said, ‘The series will depict the story of a woman’s flight from a caterpillar to a butterfly.’

Apart from Pauli, a number of stars are acting in this series. Beas Dhar plays Pauly’s student. Apart from this, Saurabh Chakraborty, Chandan Sen, Shankar Debnath, Falguni Chattopadhyay, Vidipta Chakraborty, Tanhik Banerjee, Shinjini Chakraborty etc. are acting in various roles. Sourav plays the role of Paoli’s husband. The makers have not yet officially announced this series. This is going to be Sauvik’s first web series.
The series is produced by ‘Acropolis Entertainment’ for ‘Hitchie’. Currently the working title of the series is ‘Gutipoka’. However, the name may change later. The shooting of the series is supposed to be completed this week. The release date of the series is yet to be finalised.
Pauly has recently completed the shooting of a web series named ‘Julie’. He played the role of a politician in that series.
