Paula Abdul claims producer Nigel Lythgoe assaulted her multiple times when she was a judge on the talent shows “Idol” and “So You Think You Can Dance,” according to TMZ citing court documents.

The Englishman Nigel Lythgoe (74) is himself a former dancer and has established himself as a producer and director. He is known by the nickname “Nasty Nigel”. Nasty Nigel “Nasty Nigel” can be translated as “Infamous Nigel”. Other synonyms for ugly in Norwegian in this context are ugly/bad/bad. and is known for his rather ruthless and sometimes infamous refereeing style.

Abdul sued Lythgoe on Friday, Dec. 29 in Los Angeles County. TMZ writes that it has seen documents in which Abdul claims that the first assault occurred in one of the first seasons of “Idol” during the first regional auditions.

According to TMZ, Abdul claims that Lythgoe entered an elevator at their hotel and pushed her against the wall as soon as the elevator door closed. According to Abdul, he must have groped her breasts and abdomen and tried to kiss her with his tongue.

The singer and talent judge’s version of the incident is that she tried to push him away and ran into her room as soon as the elevator door opened.

Abdul claims to have immediately informed his representatives of the incident, but decided to remain silent for fear of retaliation.

I thought he was going to a work meeting

The second attack must have happened in 2015 when he was a judge in the dance competition “So You Think You Can Dance”, equivalent to “Dance Fever” here in Norway.

According to Abdul, Lythgoe is said to have then invited her to his home to discuss career opportunities, which she allegedly accepted because she thought it was a professional connection.

Instead, she once again found herself in a situation where Lythgoe assaulted her, according to Abdul, who also claims she saw the producer harass one of Abdul’s assistants on one occasion.

The former talent judge is personally suing Lythgoe and the production companies for, among other things, sexual assault and harassment.

Rolling Stone Magazine writes that Abdul claims Lythgoe also verbally humiliated her before taking on the role of judge, calling her an irrelevant person who “probably wouldn’t be recognized by the show’s contestants.

TMZ writes that it attempted to obtain comment from Nigel Lythgoe, who has so far not responded to the inquiry.
