Patricia Gouw Learns Javanese for the Role of Enci-Enci Surabaya in the Arabic Series Maklum 2

JAKARTA – Patricia Gouw tells the story of her beginning as one of the actors in the original Arab series Maklum 2 produced by Vision+.

According to the model and presenter who is familiarly called Patgow, it started when he accidentally met the director of Arab Maklum 2, Martin Anugrah, at the Jakarta MRT.

At that moment, Martin, who had known Patgow for a long time, immediately offered him to be one of the supporting actors in the series Arab Maklum 2 with Edric Candra.

“I was initially invited by Martin Anugrah. Actually, I accidentally met at the MRT. Then Koh Edric and I were making content, just barely, then he said I was making a project. Come along, please,” said Patgow when interviewed after the Arab Maklum 2 screening at the Jakarta Concert Hall, iNews Tower, Jakarta, Friday (19/4/2024).

“Yes, I said, if the time is right, that’s fine. “Even though the project roles are small, we have fun together,” he continued.

Patgow revealed that in the second season of the Arabic series Maklum, he had the role of the Surabaya enci-enci character who has a distinctive Javanese accent. Even though he is not a native Surabaya person, Patgow admitted that he learned the Surabaya enci-enci accent from one of his team who was a native of the City of Heroes.

“If I were an enci-enci Surabaya. Even though I often eat food in Surabaya, the Javanese language is different. “So luckily my team was from Surabaya, so I studied with him,” he said.

For your information, the Arab Maklum 2 series presents the drama genre with a touch of Arabic culture. Tells the story of the life of a family of Arab descent in Indonesia. Interestingly, the second season of Arab Maklum was filmed in Bali. So, the conflict displayed will give more of its own color.

Apart from that, the second season of Arab Maklum, which is planned to premiere on April 26 2024, offers an interesting and stomach-churning storyline.
