Parents of surfers murdered in Ensenada say goodbye to their children

The parents of Australian brothers murdered in Mexico said goodbye to their children saying they were heartbroken after they were murdered in Ensenada, Baja California.

Callum and Jake Robinson, as well as Jack Carter, disappeared at the end of April in Ensenada, where they went surfing.

“Our hearts are broken and the world has become a darker place for us,” Debra and Martin Robinson said from San Diego.

The case of the surfers

Since last April 27, the surfers were reported missing. On May 1, three people were arrested for alleged forced disappearance; the bodies were found on May 3 in a well.

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Baja California announced the arrest of Jesús Gerardo ‘N’, alias ‘El Kekas’, accused of the disappearance and subsequent murder of the two Australian tourists and Carter Rhoad, an American tourist.

Two more people were also arrested. A woman who allegedly had one of the deceased’s cell phones; in addition to a man accused of the alleged disappearance of the tourists.

The three people were accused of the crime of forced disappearance and were arrested on May 1.
