«Pareidolia» is defined as the mind’s ability to recognize concrete figures in abstract forms. This is the central theme and title of the successful visual theatre production produced by the company La Llave Maestra (El carnaval de los animales, Bestiario, Nómadas).

Since its premiere in August 2018, the play created by theatre artists Álvaro Morales and Edurne Rankin has travelled the world with tours in Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina, Panama, Spain, Brazil, Bolivia, the United States, the Netherlands and Belgium. It was in the latter country that the company reached its hundredth performance of the production.

“We are celebrating one of the plays that has brought the greatest joy to the company, as in each of the performances we have seen how the audience gets excited and enjoys our work. Pareidolia is a family theatre play with a universal language that has managed to cross borders,” said Álvaro Morales, co-director of La Llave Maestra.

The company describes this production as a stage experience that appeals to the spectator’s senses, stimulating their curiosity and wonder, with the aim of opening the public’s imagination, leading them towards suggestive stage spaces that the spectator themselves complete with their story and life experience.

Founded in 2010, La Llave Maestra has stood out for its poetic and surprising shows that have toured 17 countries thanks to its universal language that moves audiences of all ages and cultures.
