From Wednesday, May 8 to Saturday, May 11, Paraguay will bring together 450 young entrepreneurial leaders from all over America and special guests from Africa, Europe, Asia and Oceania. It will host the Conference of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) of America, which returns to our country after 17 years.
This initiative promotes youth leadership and entrepreneurship for a sustainable future. The event is declared of interest by institutions such as the National Youth Secretariat, National Tourism Secretariat, National Culture Secretariat and Ministry of Education and Sciences, and has the support of the Municipality of Asunción.
The event not only promises an extensive program of activities, but will also serve as a platform for the exchange of culture, ideas and experiences, with the aim of promoting global leadership through sustainable actions that generate a positive impact on local communities, national and global.
“The JCI Conference is an experience that empowers members to enhance their actions through the cultural exchange and ideas between young people from all over the world with the same aspirations for improvement and development,” highlighted Luis Paniagua, director of the event.
He said that by bringing this event back to the country, the goal is for Paraguay to gain visibility with an organization as important worldwide as the JCI, where young people come, encouraging them to seek changes based on development and action with principles and values.
The four-consecutive-day program includes a variety of activities, from courses and trainings on leadership and entrepreneurship to notable cultural events such as “Night of Nations” and “Paraguayan Night.” In addition, the “Sustainable Cities Forum” will be held, where municipalities from across the country will present their projects aligned with the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations (UN).
