Paracanoeists reach semifinals of Paralympic Games

Zhanyl Baltabaeva and Spatai Bibarys reached the semi-finals in paracanoe, Liter.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The athletes successfully completed the qualification stages in the paracanoe 200m at the 2024 Paralympic Games.

Zhanyl Baltabaeva, competing in the VL3 class at a distance of 200 m, completed the qualification with a result of 1:04.72 and is now preparing for the semi-final, which will take place on September 7 at 13:49 Astana time.

Spatai Bibaris, competing in the KL2 class at a distance of 200 meters, completed the qualification with a result of 48.50 seconds and will compete in the semi-finals on September 7 at 13:14 Astana time.

Let us recall that at the Summer Paralympic Games in the R1 class in rifle shooting at a distance of 10 meters, Erkin Gabbasov brought the first silver medal to Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstani David Degtyarev became the best in the parapowerlifting competition in the category up to 54 kg and won gold.

Dastan Mukashbekov won a bronze medal in para-athletics at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.

Kazakhstani swimmer Nurdaulet Zhumagali demonstrated outstanding results, setting a new Asian record in swimming.

Akmaral Nauatbek won the gold medal in Parajudo at the Paralympic Games. She won the final in the 48 kg weight category (J2).
