The market’s problems are big, stemming from the suffocating pressure of the ND government for the electronic interface with the POS
The digital interface of businesses with the taxes of the country “is implemented without a plan with ultimatums and causes digital chaos at small and medium enterprises“, the SYRIZA-PS head of Digital Governance point out in a joint statement, George Carameros and the Head of Finance Nikos Pappas adding that at the same time is undermined and the “confidence of citizens in the digital transition”.
The same on the occasion of the major market problems arising from suffocating pressure her government for the electronic interface with the POS they emphasize that the initiative of Ministry of Finance and her Independent Public Revenue Authority “he’s got significantly delayedwhile today’s deficiencies her State which are going to fall heavily -in the form of a fine- on the backs of the business community, clearly record the nervousnessthe undue haste for a critical issue of digital modernization and ultimately the inefficiency with which the whole project is chosen to proceed”.
“The 135,000 AADE e-mails to professionals, artisans and merchants to hastily deal with POS devices are declarative as well as emphatic of the current situation experienced by the business community and indeed without her own responsibility” note N. Pappas and G. Karameros, underlining that “the deadline that was given until the end of March appeared to be non-functional in practice, with the public being unable to practically contribute to the timely placement and connection to the POS”.
At the same time, regarding problems where complain the Unions and the carriers of professionalssuch as the National Confederation of Professional Merchants of Greece and the General Confederation of Professional Craftsman Merchants of Greece, the deputies of the main opposition party emphasize that these “condense her substance of problem but also the necessity to grant a new, brave extension of time in order to facilitate the smooth completion of the interconnection with the tax authorities of our country”.
In conclusion, the MPs of SYRIZA-PS emphasize the need the government to give new deadline “in order to avoid fines for professionals who toil every day to keep their businesses viable, operational and competitive”.
The announcement in detail:
“The digital interconnection of businesses with the country’s tax authorities is admittedly a project that must proceed as, in addition to the financial benefit to state revenues, it contributes to good tax compliance and cultivates tax awareness among citizens. However, it is implemented without a plan with ultimatums and causes digital chaos in small and medium-sized businesses, undermining citizens’ trust in the digital transition.
This initiative, by the Ministry of Finance and the Independent Public Revenue Authority, has been significantly delayed, while the current inadequacies of the State, which are going to fall heavily – in the form of fines – on the backs of the business community, unequivocally record the nervousness, the unjustified rush for a critical issue of digital modernization and finally the inefficiency with which the whole project is chosen to proceed.
The 135,000 mails of AADE to professionals, artisans and traders to urgently contract with POS devices are declarative but also emphatic of the current situation that the business community is living in and indeed without their own responsibility. The deadline given until the end of March appeared to be non-functional in practice, with the public being unable to practically contribute to the timely installation and connection to the POS.
The problems complained about by the Unions and professional bodies, such as the National Confederation of Professional Merchants of Greece and the General Confederation of Professional Craftsman Merchants of Greece summarize the essence of the problem but also the necessity to grant a new, brave extension of time in order to facilitate the smooth completion of the interface with the tax authorities of our country.
For example, all kinds of technical issues, the practical inability of providers to serve the mass wave of professionals who apply for appointments, but also the information gap for invoicing cases, without being an affordable solution, electronic invoicing and further addressing to accountants and electronic providers.
Given the current impasse caused by the government’s decisions, but also the setback that characterizes a correct but delayed initiative, it is deemed necessary to provide a new deadline in order to avoid fines to professionals who toil every day to keep viable, operational and competitive their businesses”.
