During the Game Awards ceremony, SEGA surprised gamers around the world by announcing not one game, but five from well-known franchises. In addition to some gameplay clips from Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Ax and Streets of Rage Revolution, it was confirmed at the end of the trailer that more games are planned. Today we learned that five more games are in development.
Panzer Dragoon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Sakura Taisen and two more SEGA games are reportedly in development
Insider Gaming is confident that between 2020 and 2021 the production of a dozen SEGA classics has been authorized. If we already know five of them, for the others the mystery still remains complete. The media, however, claim, thanks to their sources, to know three of them.
Therefore, Panzer Dragoon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Sakura Taisen would be in production, but would still be in the early stages of development. As for the other two titles, the mystery still remains, but it is very likely that the other two projects are hidden in trademark registrations.
Gematsu has in fact noticed the SEGA trademark registrations made public on December 6th, the opportunity to note that Crazy Taxi, Shinobi, Jet Set Radio and Streets of Rage are present, but also eight other games!
In fact, the trademarks Alex Kidd, After Burner, House of the Dead, Outrun, Super Monkey Ball, Altered Beast Eternal, Champions Kid, Chameleon have been registered.
At this point, the development of these five additional games should be taken with a grain of salt, but Insider Gaming has already proven its reliability countless times in the past. To know for sure, however, we will have to wait a little longer.
