The talks focused on counter-terrorism in the region, focusing on areas of mutual interest.

Senior US and Pakistani officials stressed the importance of expanding cooperation and capacity-building in the counter-terrorism sector, including sharing technical expertise and best practices, investigative and prosecutorial support, border security infrastructure and training. This includes the training of more than 300 police and ‘frontline responders’ since the last counter-terrorism dialogue between the US and Pakistan in March 2023.
