Pakistan Army Public Relations Unit (ISPR) Director General Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry held a press conference about the latest developments in the region.
77 ISRAELI-MADE MINIHAS BELONGING TO INDIA WERE SHUT DOWN
Chaudhry announced that 77 Israeli-made unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) belonging to India have been shot down so far. Chaudhry denied the news in the Indian media that Pakistani aircraft were shot down and that Pakistan attacked India, and demanded that “the wreckage of at least one downed Pakistani aircraft or unmanned aerial vehicle be shown” as evidence.
LOSS OF LIVES IS INCREASING
Chaudhry announced that the number of civilians killed in India’s attacks increased to 33 and the number of injured increased to 62. Stating that there were soldiers injured during the clashes with India, Chaudhry noted that no Pakistani soldiers have lost their lives so far.
“WE WILL FINISH WHAT THEY STARTED”
Addressing India, Chaudhry said, “If you like Pakistan to fire at you so much, we will fulfill your request at a time, place and means of our choosing.” he said. Chaudhry gave the message that the Pakistani army is ‘prepared for any possibility’ and said, “If they want to continue, let them, but we will finish what they started.” he said.
INDIA’S ATTACK ON PAKISTAN
India launched missile attacks on Pakistani territory and the Pakistani-controlled Azad Kashmir region on May 6, in retaliation for the terrorist attack in which 26 people were killed in the Pahalgam region on April 22. While the Indian army announced that it hit 9 targets, which it described as “terrorist structures”, the Islamabad administration announced that 6 points belonging to civilians were targeted in the attacks, 33 people died and 62 people were injured. While the Pakistani army announced that it shot down 5 warplanes during the attack by the Indian side, the New Delhi administration did not confirm this.
