After last week’s tensions between Pakistan and Iran, both countries have announced the return of diplomats.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry on Monday, after a telephone conversation between the Foreign Ministers of the two countries, it was decided that the ambassadors of Islamabad and Tehran will be able to return to their positions from January 26.
The joint statement further said that on the invitation of Pakistan’s caretaker foreign minister Jalil Abbas Jilani, his Iranian counterpart Hussain Amir Abdullahian will visit Islamabad on the 29th.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia in a statement on Sunday welcomed the reduction of tension between Pakistan and Iran and the agreement to restore diplomatic relations.
