The Pakistan Cricket Team will participate in a three -nation T20 International Series in the United Arab Emirates later this month, which will include Afghanistan and host UAE.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday, the tournament will be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium from August 29 to September 7.
The series is considered an important part of the preparation of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Men’s T20 Asia Cup, which will be held in the UAE from 9 to 28th September.
Eight teams will be participating in the Asia Cup and its host has already been announced.
The inaugural match of the three -nation series will be played between Pakistan and Afghanistan on August 29 pm.
Each team will play two, two matches against the other two teams, that is, all three teams will have the opportunity to play at least four matches. The top two teams will make it to the final on September 7.
For Pakistan, this series is considered important not only for the Asia Cup but also for the ICC World T20 2026 preparations.
Pakistan had tried experimental combinations in the Home and Oay series against New Zealand and Bangladesh earlier this year and now the final XI’s outline will be further clarified in this three -nation tournament.

In recent years between Pakistan and Afghanistan, T20 cricket has been particularly interesting and thrilling, while the UAE team is also capable of setting up on its home ground.
There have been several memorable victories in Pakistan’s cricket history at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. In the 1990s, Pakistan achieved outstanding successes in several trilateral tournaments here.
The PCB has not yet officially announced the squad for these competitions.
