“Panchín” González, just 15 years old, has been training for a few months at the Nastic Sports Academy, located in Tarragona, Spain, where he specializes in the practice of paddle tennis, while completing his academic education at the Camp Joliu School. . In this high-performance academy, he trains padel for approximately 26 hours a week and competes in tournaments endorsed by the Catalan Padel Federation, playing in Spanish cities, such as Jaén, Valencia and Zaragoza, in addition to regularly attending the Andrés Gimeno Club, from Barcelona.
With this tough and specific preparation, “Panchín” has been a pioneer among Laguneros, in going beyond the borders of his country to seek to grow in this sport, which hundreds of children from the region practice in different clubs. Precisely in the clubs of Torreón, it was where González took his first steps in paddle tennis, although since he was eight years old he has been with a racket in his hand, when practicing tennis; His training and skills allowed him to develop in the natural path of this sport, participating in regional, sectional and national tournaments endorsed by the Mexican Paddle Federation (Femepa).
